Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary UX and/or product teams (motion, interaction, UX research, engineering, content strategy) on technical implementation.
Experience implementing visual design systems across a range of platforms using tools (i.e. Figma and Sketch).
Portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions.

Preferred qualifications:

Relevant design industry experience.
Experience with designing, prototyping, implementing expressive UI that adapts and/or moves.
Knowledge of design systems and ability to closely collaborate with other UX functions, product management, and engineering to take product from concept to launch.
Advanced problem-solving skills, and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop, mobile, Android, and iOS.
Ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process.
Self-motivated, able to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines.

As a Senior Visual Designer on the Fitbit’s Design System team, you will work with a team of visual, motion, and interaction designers across the US, Europe, and Asia to create engaging and delightful experiences on our Devices and Services and mobile products. You will be a strategic partner with colleagues across Fitbit and various Google teams.

Responsibilities
Mature and evolve the notion of framework by collaborating with other leads to form a cohesive offering across Google products.
Partner with visual programs within our organization to evolve and apply new design styles and esthetics for our suite of products while building compelling narratives for stakeholder reviews.
Contribute to and advocate for visual design standards and language across Fitbit experiences across surfaces, and foster user-centric design culture, values, and principles within the group and to the broader organization.
Communicate Fitbit’s brand, voice, and tone into engaging UI experiences.
Collaborate with visual designer peers, UX team members, researchers, and engineers to solve complex problems to enhance interactivity, visual design, and delight for our users.
