At Atlassian, we understand that information is important for providing exceptional user experiences. We're looking for a Senior Content Designer to join our Agile team in the Jira Software space.

Our teams in the Agile space empower modern software development by connecting all dimensions of work, offering greater visibility, organisation, and influence. As a Senior Content Designer, you will collaborate with product teams to deliver exceptional experiences across Jira Software. You will experiment with multiple approaches to information design, utilising your technical expertise and user experience skills to improve the content in the system.

You will:

Work closely with product teams that deliver experiences across Jira Software.
Build-out a scalable content design process and enhance the content in the system such as patterns, standards, and training material
You consider the entire customer journey and aim to close loops to provide a smooth experience.
You think in systems and break down complex interactions into smaller re-usable elements.
Write easy-to-read documentation that quickly unlocks value for all teams
Experiment with different approaches to information in the UI, documentation, supporting materials, and anywhere else our customers experience information
Document internal processes, learning, architecture, and standards
Knowledge in writing high-quality documentation with complementary UX skills
Examples of applying design thinking and design processes (sparring, user journeys, personas, user research) to improve or validate your work.

More about you

You can engage both technical and non-technical audiences and inspire various disciplines
Have a portfolio that includes UX and technical writing samples, workflows, content templates, style guides, or standards for different content types
Comfortable using design tools e.g. Figma, Figjam, Mural
