Graphic Designer (EdTech)
Role
We’re looking for an Instructional Materials Graphic Designer with a passion for culturally responsive education design. You will work closely within the Content Operations team to interpret, organize, and improve inquirED’s K–8 social studies curriculum, including the creation of original instructional resources.
As a graphic designer, you will primarily use your expertise in visual communication and design to transform basic sketches of student-facing resources into clear, engaging, and cohesive classroom materials that align to an inquiry-based educational framework. You will use critical thinking to interpret and improve upon provided drafts to ensure materials best support students. You will create custom vector-based illustrations, graphics, and technical drawings that visually support student learning.
This role is highly creative and geared toward a person who can think visually in service to middle school students, while also following multiple design conventions in keeping with inquirED’s pre-established visual style. You will also help facilitate and improve a complex editing process for our instructional units, requiring strong organizational and collaborative skills in a virtual environment. To be considered for this role you must provide a design portfolio link on your resume or samples of your work.
